Although the Carousel originated in Europe it achieved its highest artistic glory during
the years of the Industrial Revolution in North America (1890 through 1930). This
rare authentic Carousel has entertained, charmed and enhanced the imaginations of
American children for many past generations. Considered now part of “Americana” it
is revered, as a work of art by collectors and conservators, nationwide.

Join The Menagerie
ANTIQUE CHILDREN’S CAROUSEL Handcrafted, wood carved animals with distinctive features created by renown artists from around the world.
The original antique menagerie (carved by: Freidrich Heyn, Gustave Bayol, MC Illions and Henri Devos), were not in the best of shape and certainly not able to take the daily rigors of ridership. So, with this in mind, Carlos set about carving many of these animals, using the same wood and technique as the men who carved the originals. I can guarantee you if any of the ghosts of these past carvers could see these animals, they would swear they were the one who had carved them and that makes Carlos very happy because he wants the children of today to have the same feelings of joy riding these carousel animals as the children of long ago.
